THE MEARNS NEEDS REFORM
I am standing as your Reform candidate in the Mearns
by-election to be held on Thursday 7th November.
I was born and educated in Aberdeen and then moved to
Aberdeenshire 25 years ago. I know and love the area, its
people and its heritage and culture.
I have been in the hospitality and tourism industry for
almost 40 years and still operate two self catering
holiday lets in Aberdeenshire.
My husband and I have three grown up children who all live and work in Aberdeenshire and we have welcomed 8 grandchildren in the last 6 years .
I have always been actively involved in my community,
volunteering with playgroups, Brownies and Scouts .
I was also a member of the Aberdeenshire Children`s
Panel for 26 years and chaired the organisation from 2007
-2014.
I will be a strong voice for the business community in
the ward and I well understand both the benefits and
challenges of living in a rural area such as the Mearns.
