“Aberdeenshire needs common sense policies from real life experienced people to make the North East thrive again”
My name is Jo Hart. I live in Aberdeenshire, am a former nurse and midwife, and a proud mum of two. I have dedicated much of my life to caring for others and supporting the wellbeing of my community, advocating and educating in health and wellness.
My journey into politics is motivated by a belief that current political leaders no longer serve the true interests of the people. I had no previous inclination towards politics but decided that nothing changes unless people take action. I am standing for Reform because I believe it offers common-sense policies and a commitment to putting British people first.
As a nurse, I saw how the NHS was often used as a political tool, with promises made but not kept. Services are now in decline, and waiting lists are longer than ever. I would like to see the NHS restored to a stronger and more effective position.
I am also concerned about the decline of community life and key industries such as small businesses, hospitality, farming, and fishing. These are vital to both our heritage and economy. Rising energy costs and policies affecting local industries have contributed to economic challenges, particularly in the North East.
I believe Reform can help create a new political culture based on support, unity, and listening to communities. I want to help empower local people, restore trust in leadership, and support a stronger future for the North East and Scotland.
