Laurie Carnie

Reform UK candidate for Angus North and Mearns

“Angus North and Mearns is an essential and special part of Scotland, defined by its rich heritage, proud communities, and stunning natural landscapes that must be protected for generations to come.”

About Laurie

I am a dedicated local voice standing as a candidate in the 2026 Holyrood elections, bringing over 40 years of life and experience in North Angus and the Mearns. Deeply rooted in the community, I understand the challenges and opportunities facing local residents and am committed to ensuring your voices are heard. I am also the mother of two children who had the privilege of growing up in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, a place I am proud to call home.

I live on a small croft where I keep horses, as well as a number of rescue cats and dogs, reflecting my strong commitment to animal welfare and rural life. I am passionate about protecting our rich heritage and countryside, and I believe progress should never come at the cost of what makes North Angus and the Mearns special. I am determined to stand up for what people really want, and to speak up for our young people, ensuring they have a secure and promising future.
