” I will always put my constituents first, in every decision I make”

About Amanda

After benefiting from an excellent Scottish state education, I built a career spanning more than 35 years in the software industry. I’ve worked across the full spectrum – from small startups to global multinationals – and for the past decade, I’ve been self-employed as a freelancer, helping businesses adapt and grow in a rapidly changing world.

In recent years, I’ve become increasingly concerned about the direction our country is heading in. Our economy has stalled, public services are in decline, and the sense of community that binds us together feels increasingly fragile. As a mother of two grown children, I worry about the future they – and the next generation – will inherit. That concern has led me to take the step into public life and stand for election.

I believe Scotland can do better. Too many people feel overlooked and unheard, and there is a clear need for practical, meaningful change.

I’m not a career politician – I’m a plain-speaking, hard-working professional who understands the real challenges people face. If elected as an MSP, I will always put my constituents first, approaching every decision with honesty, accountability, and a focus on delivering real results.
