“Opportunity starts in the classroom”

About Senga

My name is Senga Beresford, a businesswoman with over 25 years of experience in small business management.

Having lived in Dumfries and Galloway all my life, I care deeply about our communities and the future of working families across Scotland.

I entered politics because I’m tired of ordinary people being ignored and let down by those in power. I want to change that. I believe in lower taxes, putting more money in the pockets of working people, and creating a system that truly supports those who contribute. I want better education for all children, stronger support for young people, and the return of meaningful apprenticeships.

I strongly support our farmers, who are vital to our rural economy and food security, and I believe they must be backed to succeed.

I stand for fairness, free speech, and opportunity for all. As a married mother of four, everything I do is driven by a determination to build a better, more secure future for the next generation.
