Jon Whitton

Reform UK candidate for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch

“Scotland is nothing without its people — their resilience, creativity, and spirit are the very soul of this nation.”

About Jon

My name is Jon Whitton and I am a 56 year old retired Nurse, who has spent the past 30 years caring for patients in both the NHS and the private care sector.

I moved to Scotland with my wife in 2013 and quickly immersed myself in the local area, engaging in many rural pursuits and building relationships with the local farming community.

I have not previously been involved in politics but in December 2024 felt compelled to act. This was due to poor health services, rising energy cost and declining infrastructure in Scotland. I joined Reform UK Scotland and hit the floor running, taking up the role of Treasurer and Constituency Organiser in my local area.

In the summer of 2025 I answered Reforms call for ordinary regular people to come forward and stand as a candidate. After successful vetting and interviews I was announced as the candidate for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch at this years Scottish Conference.
