SNP and Liberal Democrat Councillors voted to cut swimming and curling facilities in Perthshire!

On 4th September, SNP and Liberal Democrat councillors in Perth and Kinross pushed through a proposal to demolish the leisure pool and ice rink at Dewars centre, replacing it with much less provision.

This will cost at least £61m, but the swimming pool will only have lane swimming. The Council will not replace the ice rink but will offer the curling rink at Dewars Centre on a lease to the ice sports community. Without council support, this will almost certainly be the end of curling in the county which produced Olympic champions.

If you want a Councillor who would support a plan to keep Perth as a place for international curling and where youngsters can enjoy leisure swimming – Vote for Sonia Davidson.  Vote for Reform UK.
