It is time for Reform

Sonia Davidson profile pictureMy name is Sonia Davidson and I have lived and worked in and around Perth for the last 35 years, from Receptionist to Data Analyst through barmaid along the way.
Let’s be clear, I never thought I would be standing for public office, let alone as a member of a political party. I’m just a typical person struggling to pay the bills like so many. I’ve been so preoccupied with working and making a living, raising a family that I’ve not really had time for much else.

My family is now grown up and moving on, and I find myself in a country I don’t recognise any more.

We have so many people in public office seemingly only out for themselves; taxes going up and up but services in our communities going, you guessed it, down and down.

Well enough is enough. We need major reforms throughout so much of our country, our economy, housing, education and justice to name but a few.

I read the Reform Contract and it struck me as the first piece of common sense I’ve heard coming from a political party. That’s why I’m standing as the Reform Candidate for Perth City North Ward in the upcoming by-election on the 26th September 2024.

I believe I can give a voice to our local community.

As a Reform Local Councillor I would like to see a curtailment of the excessive diversity indoctrination in our schools; teachers should be concentrating on teaching our children, not confusing them with ideologies. We have children as young as 3 being taught about diversity!

I’m standing as a Reform Local Councillor for common sense.

Drug abuse and crime are on the increase, we need more ‘Bobbies on the Beat’ and not trolling through social media posts, or wasting time investigating every ‘hate speech’ accusation. More engagement between the Police and the community is vital for respect for law and order; this is how we make our streets safer.

However, whether it’s the need for more activities for our young people, the pot holes in our roads, supporting our local businesses or improving services for our pensioners, I’m standing for YOUR concerns. What affects you and how I can help.
My purpose in standing as the Local Councillor is to represent our local community with an end goal of improving the day to day living for us all.

I will work together with the other Councillors in Perth and Kinross, our aim being to improve our communities for all.
