Reform Activists Out Across Scotland
Reform UK Scotland activists were out in force across the country at the weekend, speaking to voters, delivering leaflets and running campaign stalls in communities across Scotland.
From Glasgow to Ayrshire and communities further afield, activists took Reform’s message directly to the public, meeting local residents, handing out campaign literature and talking about the issues that matter to people in their own communities.
The response on the streets was extremely encouraging, with campaign teams reporting great feedback from members of the public and strong interest in Reform’s plans for Scotland.
Across Scotland, Reform activists are building support one conversation at a time — listening to local people, taking our message into communities and showing voters there is a genuine alternative.
Next Stop: Avondale & Stonehouse
Attention is now also turning towards the upcoming Avondale & Stonehouse council by-election in South Lanarkshire, which takes place on Thursday 17 September.
Reform will be hoping to build on its growing support in the area and win another seat on South Lanarkshire Council, following the party’s recent breakthrough in neighbouring Larkhall.
Fiona McDermott’s Larkhall Victory
In July, Reform UK Scotland candidate Fiona McDermott was elected as councillor for Larkhall, securing 1,150 first-preference votes.
The result demonstrated that Reform can turn growing support across Scotland into victories at the ballot box — and activists will be working hard to repeat that success in Avondale & Stonehouse.
Building Towards 2027
With Scotland’s next council elections approaching in May 2027, local campaigning and strong branch organisations will be increasingly important. Every leaflet delivered, every campaign stall and every conversation with a voter helps build the organisation Reform needs to challenge across Scotland.
This weekend was another sign of that growing grassroots effort, with members and volunteers putting in the work on the ground and receiving an increasingly positive response from the Scottish public.
